Modeled on the Passover seder, the Tu Bishvat seder includes drinking four cups of wine and eating fruits representing the four Kabbalistic "worlds". Bring your Torah and your singing voices as we seek to reconnect ourselves to what's stirring inside us, to the earth, and to all who dwell upon it. Led by Eliana Kissner and Rabbi Ezra Weinberg, with Rabbi Guy Austrian, from a beautiful Tu Bishvat haggadah filled with piyyutim and texts, created by Eliana Kissner and Natalie Haziza. Suggested donation $5 at the door or a bottle of red or white wine or grape juice (with a hechsher). Pre-registration requested but not required here.

This month's "Sprouting Mitzvot" program will celebrate Tu Bishvat  in partnership with FTJC's Environmental Justice Team.  "Sprouting Mitzvot" is our monthly experiential learning program about mitzvot. The adults will meet with the Environmental Justice Team to learn about the Climate and Community Protection Act, a pending piece of New York State environmental legislation and write letters advocating for this legislation. The kids will learn about Tu Bishvat, write our own letters, and plant some seeds to celebrate the holiday.  Following this, adults and children will come together for a brief Tu Bishvat Seder.  To RSVP for location, email Mira Kessler.

Shorashim (3rd to 5th Grade):
