Membership Information

The Fort Tryon Jewish Center is an independent, egalitarian congregation whose membership is as wonderfully diverse as the great city in which we live. Our members are encouraged to participate in every aspect of synagogue life, from leading services to sharing meals to learning together to working in and for the community. We have both adult and children’s services and the synergy between them is a source of vitality and joy.

Prayer services are always open to any and all. Our community is member-supported, and we encourage membership as an affirmative declaration of personally assumed and mutually committed responsibility for the well-being and growth of the congregation.

FTJC offers memberships of all kinds, including an Associate Membership for those who live outside of NYC.
