Come join Nitzanim and Shorashim for a day of service in honor of MLK Day! We will come together to learn about the mitzvah of tzedakah as well as the issue of hunger/food insecurity, in conjunction with the JCC of Washington Heights-Inwood. Our program will include Jewish learning, shopping for food to donate to the JCC’s food pantry, and a visit to the JCC to learn more about their role in our community as they work to fight hunger and food insecurity. We will meet at an apartment in advance, and end our program at the JCC (121 Bennett Ave.).

Please bring $5-7 to use to buy food for the pantry!
