From political and financial scandals to rapid progress in biomedical science and technology, the complex issues of modern society are, at their core, issues of ethical and moral concern. Now more than ever, we require a solid understanding of how Judaism and Jewish ethics can inform our wrestling with moral questions of the day, pushing us to consider many sides of an issue toward complexity and nuance. This course uses a curriculum developed by the Jewish Theological Seminary, featuring text studies, videos, and online resources. Taught by FTJC’s Rabbi Guy Austrian.
